PRIVATE PILOT
With your Private Pilot License you can act as a ​pilot in command carrying passengers or property, but not for compensation or hire.
​PREREQUISITES
Be at least 17 years of age.
Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language.
Hold a valid student pilot and medical certificate.
​INVESTMENT
​MINIMUM AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
40 hours total time that includes:
At least 20 hours of dual flight training:
3 hours of cross-country flight training
3 hours of night flight training
10 takeoffs and landings at night
3 hours of flight training maneauvering the airplane solely by reference to
instruments
10 hours of solo flight time:
5 hours of solo cross-country time
The FAA minimum required hours for the Private Pilot Certificate is 40, but the national average is about 65 hours.
MINIMUM HOURS $ 11,395 (40 HOURS TOTAL FLIGHT TIME)
AVERAGE HOURS $ 16,445 (65 HOURS TOTAL FLIGHT TIME)
The total price includes: Flight and ground training, books and supplies, FAA written test, FAA practical test and medical/student pilot certificate.
